The Elegance Netbook

Today we are going to look at a netbook, Asus Eee PC S101. Powered by Intel Atom 1.6GHz. Purposely bought for my younger brother, Naim hopefully this small thing can aid him in his study.

The first thing when this netbook got into my hand, “wow nice design”. The keyboard is gold-dusted, the  hinge is made of chrome metal  and all around the edge of the netbook is covered by chrome metal . The design is so sleek and it is so lightweight, 1kg. When i turn it on, the windows XP started up sluggishly. Just what i expect from Intel Atom, since my brother and my sister use netbooks too, Asus Eee PC 901H and HP mini.

A Review
Since Windows 7 is arrived, i still impress how the latest Windows is built. It’s so light, running so smooth even on low-spec PC. Therefore i format the Eee PC powered by Intel Atom with Windows 7 Ultimate. The result is, the Windows running fine even with onboard graphic Intel GMA 950. All the animated theme and  interface is running smooth even with 1GB RAM.

Strength
Lightweight
Sleek Design
Noiseless

Weakness
16GB SSD harddisk
Whole body is fingerprint nightmare
Windows XP

Conclusion
Overall, you can’t expect so much from a netbook. But replacing Windows XP with Windows 7 makes your netbook becomes more stylish, and yet it is faster than Windows XP. All program, button and shortcuts work fine and 2GB RAM is highly recommended either for Windows XP or Windows 7.
